The Tynor Medical Compression Stocking Class 2 (Thigh High) covers the whole leg from the foot to the upper thigh and gives graduated compression: firmest at the ankle, then gradually gentler towards the top. It is knitted from high-denier nylon with spandex for a snug hold, shaped to the leg, and finished with a closed heel and an open toe. Class 2 medical stockings are a firmer grade, so choose and wear them on your doctor’s advice.

Key benefits
- Graduated compression runs the full leg, firmest at the ankle and lighter towards the thigh.
- High spandex content gives a snug grip and a top edge that sits without cutting in.
- Contoured shape fits legs that are not evenly round and stays in place through the day.
- Closed heel for easy positioning and an open toe that leaves your toes free.
Features
- Graduated compression: Pressure steps down evenly from the ankle to the top of the stocking, as shown on Tynor’s measuring chart.
- High-denier yarns: Strong, thick fibres give a durable knit that lasts through regular wear.
- Spandex for fit: A high share of spandex keeps the stocking snug and gripping, with no tight band at the edges.
- Anatomical design: Shaped to follow uneven leg contours so the compression is spread as intended.
- Closed heel, open toe: The heel pocket helps you line the stocking up and the open toe keeps the foot end comfortable.
- Soft, breathable fabric: Nylon and elastane that feels soft on the skin for long periods of wear.

Commonly used for
Class 2 stockings are firmer than everyday support hosiery. They are often used, on a doctor’s advice, for varicose veins, and by people who spend long hours on their feet and get tired, heavy legs. A thigh-high length covers the knee and thigh as well as the lower leg. Your doctor can tell you whether this strength and length suit you, so wear them only as advised by your doctor.
How to choose your size

Use a soft measuring tape and note these measurements in centimetres, at the points marked on Tynor’s chart:
- B: around the ankle.
- C: around the widest part of the calf.
- D: around the leg, two fingers’ width below the kneecap.
- G: around the upper thigh, about 3 cm below the crotch.
- Length from the floor up to point G. Tynor’s chart gives 70 to 80 cm for the thigh-high stocking.
Choose the size whose ranges match your B, C, D and G measurements. All figures are in centimetres.
